- Standard drywall sheet: 4×8 ft (32 sq ft)
- 4×12 ft sheets reduce seams on taller walls
- Standard door opening: ~20 sq ft (3×7 ft)
- Standard window opening: ~15 sq ft (3×5 ft)
- Studs at 16″ O.C. is code-standard for most walls
- Always add 10% waste for both drywall and lumber
- Double top plate = 2× total wall length in lumber
